Reimagining how physical products are funded and owned
EIDOS is an open-source protocol designed to sell, fractionalize, and acquire the intellectual property of physical products through blockchain-based ownership models.
Built within the Web3 ethos and launched as a new feature for the Wikifactory Launchpad, EIDOS introduced a decentralized crowdfunding model where product IP could be tokenized as ERC721 assets, while fabrication rights were distributed as ERC20 tokens.
The result was a new framework for collective innovation—enabling creators to fund ideas, communities to participate earlier, and ownership to become a core part of how products are built and scaled.

01
Situation
Traditional crowdfunding platforms allowed communities to pre-purchase products, but offered no meaningful ownership in the value they helped create. At the same time, independent inventors and creators often struggled with access to capital, demand validation, and protecting their intellectual property.
The opportunity was to apply blockchain technology to a tangible use case: funding and commercializing physical products through shared ownership, transparent rights, and community participation.

02
Solution
EIDOS was conceived as a decentralized protocol where the intellectual property of physical products could be tokenized, funded, and exchanged.
The model separated two key assets:
Product IP as ERC721 tokens
Representing ownership, authorship, and transferable rights
Fabrication rights as ERC20 tokens
Enabling controlled production and distributed participation
The experience was designed to make complex blockchain mechanics understandable, credible, and attractive to non-technical users.

01
Phases
01
Research
The focus was to identify where blockchain could solve real problems.
We explored the limitations of traditional crowdfunding, emerging NFT ownership models, and the barriers preventing mainstream users from adopting Web3 products.
02
Product Definition
We defined the core value proposition, product architecture, and participation model.
This phase focused on translating abstract technology into a clear product narrative: creators launch ideas, communities fund them, and ownership becomes part of the journey.
03
Brand & Narrative
The name EIDOS was built around the idea of form, manifestation, and bringing ideas into the physical world.
The brand language aimed to feel visionary, credible, and future-facing.
04
Proof of Concept
We designed the initial experience framework for both creators and supporters.
05
Launch
EIDOS launched as a new feature within the Wikifactory Launchpad, expanding its vision beyond collaboration and manufacturing into new models of funding and ownership.
It demonstrated how strategic design can turn emerging technology into a believable and actionable product opportunity.
03
Product Definition
The initial experience framework was designed for both Creators and Supporters.
